A Bit Of Fun

COULD WILD HORSES MAKE YOU DO THIS?
This was taken in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico in 2001.  Wild horses were everywhere.  One of the most beautiful islands in the western hemisphere...
DECEMBER 2011-JANUARY 2012: FRANCE, NETHERLANDS, BELGIUM

We take what we do for a living very seriously, but who wants their tombstones to read "What An Underwriter"?  We've always marveled at how some people in all fields seem to think that you don't look professional unless you do look like you are in a state of perpetual suffering.  SO, we do this page because we can.  When you're on top of your game (and we are), you can work hard, deliver excellence AND still enjoy the finer things in life.
This is a "short stack" this time since it's the busiest time of year for us and most likely you.  We've thrown in some French musette, wonderful accordion music and some of Le Jazz Hot with Django Reinhardt.  For the Netherlands we put in some barrel organ, a wonderful instrument, along with some music from the 1600s.    For Belgium, we added some folkloric music and dance.  We were struck by how similar it was in some ways to English Country (Morris) dances.
Let's get down to business, shall we?  What follows is a listing of You Tube selections related to our theme.   All are worth seeing, or they wouldn't be listed here.  We haven't included the actual links for these items for a few reasons, but the search terms are shown below.
Here's how this works: We have simplified the search process.  The song titles and groups are shown below along with the corresponding URLs for the You-Tube entries.  These are now live links, but please do not view them from company computers as it may result in the page being blocked.    Remember that this page changes every month, so best to copy all of them at once somewhere so that you will have them later.    And......ahem.....remember that this is home viewing.  When work is done.  Please don't do these at work, eh?

DISCLAIMER:  The listings that follow are recommendations regarding the video listings ONLY and are not endorsements of the submitters themselves, any of their activities or the sometimes-tasteless and disgusting comments posted on You Tube by other viewers.  Some of the so-called "reviewers" can be obtuse or profane from time to time.  In fact, we STRONGLY recommend that you just pretend that the Text Comments section isn't there at all and keep your eyes on the videos. Nevertheless, the music is worth the visit.  Think of the comments as if you are walking to a nice restaurant where there is bad graffiti scrawled on the walls of nearby buildings, and just ignore them.
